Public Works Conference: Integrated Water Management Tour

Highlighting Fishermans Bend’s commitment to sustainable water management and climate resilience with three key stops on this technical tour. Firstly, the Fishermans Bend Water Sensitive City Strategy is set to become Australia’s largest water-sensitive urban design project, enhancing environmental sustainability and liveability. Remix Raingardens repurpose locally sourced waste materials, such as concrete, glass, and organic matter, to create cost-effective drainage solutions while reinforcing the area’s character. Meanwhile, the Permeable Shared Path integrates recycled rubber from 1,200 tyres to prevent water pooling, improving accessibility and encouraging active transport in all weather conditions.
