CDL Australia has officially commenced work on its Normanby Road build-to-rent project in Fishermans Bend. Designed by Hayball architects and built by Crema Constructions, the development will provide 237 apartments situated just 2km from the CBD within Australia’s largest urban renewal area. Build-to-Rent housing is gaining traction in Melbourne, offering long-term rental security and lifestyle-focused living options. Gamuda Land Endorsed for 3,000sqm Public Park at Fishermans Bend
Gamuda Land has received council endorsement for a 3,000sqm public park at Normanby Road, Johnson Street, and Munro Street in Fishermans Bend. Partners including OCULUS, The Heart Gardening Project, SUGi, and MURRI : YUL have collaborated on the design to ensure it reflects the area’s natural heritage with native plants, picnic areas, and walking and cycling paths. Set for completion in 2026, the park is part of a works-in-kind agreement tied to Gamuda Land’s nearby development, The Canopy. State’s largest build-to-rent project opens in Fishermans Bend
The Gladstone, Victoria’s largest build-to-rent project, has officially opened in Fishermans Bend at 15-18 Gladstone St. Developed by Greystar, the $500 million project features 700 residences ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments, with leases starting at $600 per week. Residents will have access to extensive amenities, including pools, workspaces, and pet facilities, with the site powered entirely by off-site renewable energy. This project is part of the state government’s push to increase build-to-rent housing.
