On the 25th November 2021 our first Business Forum for this year finally took place at the home of the Port Melbourne Sharks Soccer Club at Murphy’s Reserve.
The Fishermans Bend Business Forum welcomed the Chair of the Development Board, Meredith Sussex, Members of the Fishermans Bend Task Force, The Mayor, Cr Pearl & Cr Cunsolo of the City of Port Phillip and Businesses and Community members from the surrounding area.
A wonderful evening catching up on all things Fishermans Bend and seeing each other face to face for the first time in almost 2 years.
There was excitement in the room and anticipation for 2022, with considerable development and projects occurring.
As we looked across the room through the windows to the other side of Murphys Reserve we could see the finishing touches being put on the new Port Melbourne Secondary College. The first secondary school to be built in Fishermans Bend will open to year 7 students in 2022. It follows Victoria’s first vertical primary School which is fully establish in the Montague Precinct of Fishermans Bend.
